Sterilization is carried out in dry heat (dry oven) and autoclaves, but they have different methods of sterilization, and they do an excellent job of destroying microbes and viruses. With air sterilization and temperature exposure, the color on the built-in dry heat package indicator changes to purple, with steam - to green, and you can easily find out when your instrument has been processed and is ready for use.
